Eastern and Rift Valley Update - October 11
Eastern Region – Antony Kathendu
Kitui Prison
The Kitui main prison has 470 prisoners, while in the women’s wing there are 20 inmates with four children. Antony conducts various programs at the women’s wing every Monday and does the same at the main prison on Tuesdays.
On 6 September, Antony spent time encouraging the women inmates in fellowship, a routine practice he does every month. On 7 September, Antony visited the main prison. Five prisoners became Christians as a result of what Anthony shared during the service. Antony also managed to form a group discussion with women on 13 September, to help towards spiritual maturity. Antony also conducts Bible study classes at Kitui main prison and on 14 September he held a session for interested prisoners.
Kelvin and his family donated a TV set to Kitui prison for prisoners through Madam Solomon.
