Kenya Update October 2011

The Philemon Kenya team have had a busy summer, making many visits to prisons across Kenya.

Nairobi

Ben Nyamburi is starting to set up new computer literacy and primary eucation classes in Kiambu prison, as well as working closely with the Prisons Discharge Board and the Probation Case Committees.  Read more... Nairobi October 11.

Rift Valley Region

Tunza Project

This summer Patricia Mwikya launched the Tunza project, supporting young offenders in Shimo La Tewa Borstal Prison with school fees, school uniform, and general upkeep as they pursue education in prison and after prison.  Read more... Tunza Young Offenders Project
